October 3 - 12, 2008
No food, no water, no hope? A new play based on the oral histories of the Hurricane Katrina survivors that were stranded on the I-10 overpass during the days after their neighborhood was decimated. Interviews were gathered as part of the UH Surviving Rita & Katrina Project.
Nathaniel Freeman spent the past eight years living and working in Tallahassee Florida. He received his MFA in Professional Writing from Florida State University's School of Film. Nate's work includes the plays Retreating, and Alex & Alix, the films Painting in One Color, which he also directed, and Scratch n’ Sniff, which he produced. He recently relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to write and produce a project with New Mexico State University's Creative Media Institute.
This play is presented in collaboration with the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts.
